Summary/Objective
Provide high quality electrical engineering consulting services to our clients. The Electrical Engineering Intern is expected to assist in all aspects of electrical and control systems design; this includes low and medium voltage power distribution systems, instrumentation, electrical controls, and overall design documentation. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, the employee is expected to follow company work processes and standards to maintain a high-quality work product and work in a collaborative team environment with other Engineers from various disciplines and the Designer/Drafting team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of electrical and control systems design. Including, but not limited to, low and medium voltage power distribution systems, instrumentation, electrical controls, and overall design documentation.
- Partner with designers to prepare detailed design drawings and provide quality checks.
Perform and support QA/QC protocol for all work. - Effectively organize and maintain project-related files, drawings, documentation, and emails on the server per protocol.
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to take on obstacles and project challenges.
Work effectively within a team.
Qualifications – Required:
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Attention to detail
Qualifications – Preferred:
- Experience with key duties and responsibilities described above, including experience from past internships or co-ops
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience with SKM
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday in accordance with normal business hours.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable):
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a general background check and Drug/Alcohol screening.
Pay Range:
$20-30/Hr. Exact compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience skills, and location.
