SPEC provides full-service engineering, permitting, and construction support for the renewable fuels and alternative energy markets. Our experience encompasses a broad spectrum of this market, including items such as designing processes to manufacture biofuels (biodiesel B100), blending systems for biofuels with hydrocarbon fuels (E10, B5), storage / loading and unloading facilities, consulting services for the development of renewable electric energy projects including wind and solar, and engineering of other “green” energy projects. SPEC has been performing renewable and alternative energy designs since our inception. We were early to the market, driven by the demand from our clients in the petrochemical and power generation markets.

We have worked alongside industry innovators, industry trade groups and our customers to deliver process and design improvements for a variety of applications. In addition to performing standard FEED engineering services, we provide our clients the subject matter expertise to assist them in the evaluation and development of new projects / facilities, performance of feasibility studies / pay back analysis, development of capital improvement / O&M costs, evaluation of cost, and requirements for conversion of existing facilities to produce renewable fuels.
